We have great news: Apple has approved PerilCanyon 1.1.0 and it is now available for download or update via the iTunes store. This version is a major improvement over the first release. Here are some of the highlights:

PerilCanyon 1.0 released!

Today PerilCanyon was approved for sale in the App Store. We're selling it for only $0.99 for the time being. Since we're new to the whole App Store pricing thing, it'll either stay there or go up to $1.99 at some point. So, you should potentially act now!

Download PerilCanyon 1.0 from the AppStore.

We're hard at work on version 1.1, which will be a free update to anyone who buys version 1.0.

Welcome to One-Hot Gaming

Hi! Welcome to One-Hot Gaming. I'm Eric and this company is a collaboration between me and my good buddy Paul. We became friends back in college, during freshman year. After taking classes and working on projects together at UC San Diego, we decided that we wanted to put our skills to use building something fun together. Thus One-Hot Gaming was born.

PerilCanyon is the first offering of One-Hot Gaming. Here's the blurb we wrote for it for iTunes:
"In an exciting take on the classic Canyon Run, the fully 3D PerilCanyon lets you take command of an accelerometer-controlled F-22. Pilot your airplane through an infinite canyon as you dodge obstacles and enemy missiles. Earn points and rack up achievements to unlock a series of increasingly fast, maneuverable, and fun planes. Impressive 3D graphics, exciting gameplay, and great replay value make this game a fastastic buy!"

Pretty good marketing-speak for a couple of software developers, huh? But really, PerilCanyon started as a school project for a computer graphics class we took during our senior year. We thought it turned out so well that we should see if we could reasonably make it into an iPhone game. Sure enough, the end result is far superior to the original, despite the relative lack of resources on the iPhone platform. This is a game that I personally can sit down and enjoy regularly, and I think you will too.

We have high hopes for what comes next. Stay tuned!
